DS Plotline

The Christian God and Satan have fallen at the hands of each other causing blood to fall from the sky like rain. This has caused the awakening of the old gods and plunged the world into Armageddon. Old long forgotton races are coming out of hiding and safety alone is almost non-existant. Scientists have let their experiments go awry and created both magnificent and aweful creations. These races blend among Humans, Angels, Demons, Pagan Gods, and many others. We fight to keep the innocents safe in a world where safety rarely exists. Sanctuary is run by Jaxon and she protects all comers. There are others who aid her in her quest for a little bit of peace in a chaotic world. Nothing is as it seems anymore and those who live in this world hide many secrets. Will you come join the quest for safety or will you join the outsiders in a quest for ultimate power? The choice is yours. Welcome to Dark Sanctuary.

Please Use the Dice!

We employ a Dice Script here on DS to keep Godmodding down to a minimum. They are very easy to use and a necessity in magic or attack and defensive moves. Here on DS we run high powered characters and this is a must when playing them. To use the Dice you simply type [dice=20] before an action. The random number the site comes up with determines your success in the move. This evens out the possibility of players godmodding or miss-rping a battle or action. So I repeat this is necessary. Dice rolls are determined in this manner:

1 to 5 = Critical Failure.. this means that not only did you fail but you either harmed yourself or someone else with your try or you made yourself look like a fool

6 to 10 = Minor Failure.. depending on how low the dice roll is, you still failed the roll but not so badly as a critical failure.

11 to 15 = Minor Success.. You did manage to do whatever you were trying but not as good as you would have needed to be completely successful. Again this depends on how low your roll was.

16 to 18= Success.. You did manage to do what you tried. On the money .. you could have done better but you did manage to succeed completely at what you wanted.

19 to 20 Critical Success-- This is basically overkill. Not only did you manage to do what you intended but you either critically wounded an opponent or did something greater than what you were trying.

Allignments!

Certian races have default alignments. This dictates the way a character is played. Please click HERE For and explaination of what allignments are.

Certian actions are designated "Good" and certian actions are designated "Evil" If a player is attempting an action that is generally done by a lawful or good alligned character with one of chaotic or evil alignement they must take a negative 5 on their dice roll. The same is said for the good or lawful character acting out an evil action. This is typed out like this: [dice=20-5].

DS Sub Plotlines

Along with the standard plot that you can read in the top table of the left side bar, there are many side plots going on within DS. The side plots are determined by Cannon Characters on site. Any character can become a Cannon Character on site. What you must do to achieve this in entertwine your character plot with another Cannon Character.
